The front page of the Sunday New York Times, August 26 has an interesting article ‘Genes tell doctors more than they want to know’. Should anonymous donors and their families be able to receive the results of genetic testing by researchers in laboratories around the world – and if so – when?
Dr Francis Collins, director of the National Institutes of Health, calls it “one of the thorniest current challenges in clinical research.”
