WILL PALIN RUN?

Sarah Palin is back in the news with her One Nation tour to historic monuments.  Aptly named Rolling Thunder.  Now all the questions are back too.  Will she or won’t she?

On the negative side, she has little or no political infrastructure, not even a formal committee to raise money.  Nor has she campaigned in the primary states like  Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina.  So far as I know Palin does not even have a press secretary.

On the positive side for running, Palin says she has “the fire in my belly”.  She has higher name recognition than any other contender.  She just has to pop up her head and the national media aree there to record every twitch and tittle.

Most of the pundits don’t think she is running.  David  Brooks of the N.Y. Times:  “She can manage her brand.  But running for president is not American Idol.  She’s just not a team player.  This is a team sport.”

And the polls do not favour her.  An average of several polls shows Obama trouncing Palin by 20 points.

Others have said that Palin is so flighty and unpredictable that she must be in the midst of menopause.  No wonder she is erratic.

Here’s a hint.  Palin is a paid contributor to Fox News.  Fox dumped Gingritch and Santorum when they showed signs of running.  Why have they not dumped Palin.  Because I believe Palin told Fox in deepest secrecy that she does not plan to run.

Will Palin run?

What do you think?

Sarah Palin was so successful as a governor, she graduated early “Bitter Quitter”, she real is a “Dan Quayle” in heels. She clearly loves “dishing it out” but real can’t take it because she loves playing the victim card. Poor thing she fail as a VP candidate (her lie that her daughter was engaged was such a farce), her stand-up comic fiasco on the Jay Leno Show, please, her TV show canceled after declining rating, I guess her perpetual run for the White House is the only thing she can look forward to, but since she is a coward she will only throw small minded rocks, poor thing. Since we already had an idiot “W” that caused our current economic debacle, America knows not to trust the GOP fools who flaunt the idiocy.

“Rolling Thinder?” Rolling Blunder, more like. No, she won’t run. Or, if she does make the moves to do so, she’ll quit long before she actually goes anywhere. She’s the Quit Bull.

Quite right. She quit being governor of Alaska half waythrough her term. Sarah is aa narcissistic quitter.

Here’s a question for everyone (especially for you, Lady Janus):

Is Neil McKenty a mysogynist for writing, by proxy:

Others have said that Palin is so flighty and unpredictable that she must be in the midst of menopause. No wonder she is erratic.

Do you really want to hold that up as a standard for people who run for president, Neil?

Fact: Barack Obama was only in the U.S. Senate for about 2 years before he left and became president. And note that Obama was hardly ever in the Senate and took no hard positions on much of anything. Not much of a record to speak of.

Fact: at the time of the presidential election campaign, Palin had more executive experience than Obama, Biden, and McCain combined.

    She’ll do just fine.

Tony, Isn’t it remarkable that Obama, were he was as weak as you suggest, was then elected president of the United States in a landslide.

I sure would like to jump her bones, but not at the expense of dining her. Speaking of executive experience, when Jaws was running for Governor of Alaska she supported the building of a three hundred million dollar bridge to an island that had only 50 people living on it. Pundits monikered it “the bridge to nowhere”. Would you believe that she is still at it, riding a bus to nowhere?
Tony, I think you would enjoy getting a lift to nowhere on this bus. Maybe I can get some pillow talk in, and get you a free ride (onto the bus that is). Let me know. ‘Off we go into the wild blue yonder….’

@Tony: No, Neil is not being misogynistic to suggest that perhaps menopause might be a reason for her flighty and erratic behavior. Menopause can do that to a woman. It’s not, however, the reason she’s flighty and erratic, unless she’s been in menopause since she was a teenager. Her entire life since high school has been one demonstration of flighty and erratic after another.

“Do you really want to hold that up as a standard for people who run for president, Neil?”

‘Scuze me, but where do you get the idea that anyone thinks it’s a standard? It’s who SHE is and what SHE does. No one else was mentioned by anyone except you.

Gee, jim, and guess who voted for “the bridge to nowhere”?

    Obama voted for it!

    Biden also voted for it!

jim, I am embarrassed for you…don’t you know how to use google? All you had to do before you hit the “Post Comment” button was google “who voted for the bridge to nowhere?” and the following article would have come up:

    http://mcauleysworld.wordpress.com/2008/09/08/lies-damn-lies-the-bridge-to-nowhere-who-voted-for-it-who-voted-against-it/

…and if you read the article, you’ll see that Palin withdrew her support whereas Biden and Obama didn’t, even when given the chance to do so.

So the snickering and guffawing that you attempted to direct towards Palin is now redirected back towards Obama (if you’re an honest and consistent man).

    Pathetic.

You know what this current crowd of GOP liars want is to turn the United Sates into China, where only a few giant corporations run things, they own the factories, that apartments, the grocery stores, the gas stations, the newspaper and magazine publications, the radio stations, the television stations and you pay them and they get all the benefits, and if you do not like it go jump off cliff. Well some Chinese workers seeing that as individuals that they cannot progress have done just that by committing suicide. The current crowd of GOP liars want to abolish Medicare from the elderly, they want to abolish a woman’s right to choose and have control over her own body, they want to abolish collective bargaining rights, and on top of it all they want to blame the poor, the middle class and the public sector workers for a recession that the GOP created, while their beloved “Fat cats” continue to pay themselves exorbitant salaries, bonuses, fringe benefits. Yes this is the GOP “Radical Right-Wing Social Engineering” that they dream about. The win in New York was the beginning but the next will be Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin and later the other states of our nation. So run, Sarah run.

Tony, the people spoke. They said to O’bama and to Palin “if you mend your ways we will elect you.” Well, would you believe that at this very moment O’bama is President of the United States of America and Palin is a bus fare.
BTW Google is a crutch for the uninformed.

That’s probably the silliest comment I’ve ever seen posted in the history of Neil’s blog.

Tony – There would be no need for Google if everyone was as fully informed as Google.
I also noticed that when you were trying to sustantiate your comment about ‘the bridge to nowhere’, that you did not use Google to support your point but used a Chicago News source. Whaaat!!!
